Problem

This digital communications company worked for 2 years on the design for this 80 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC), but it did not meet specs. The device was poorly laid out with bad device matching. Noise kept this ADC at only 8 bit accuracy.

Solution

The ADC achieved 13 bit accuracy in an 80 MSPS design.
